peanut butter world

Hello friends. As I was sitting in my apartment meticulously scraping out the last bites of Smuckers All Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter and digging around for one of my reserve jars (a new, less expensive, local small brand) I figured I would write about my peanut butter adventures here. I’ll state right off the bat that I feel very strongly that natural and un-natural peanut butters are very different substances. During a holiday peanut butter discussion with a friend, she pointed out that natural and “fake” peanut butters need to be approached differently – for they are completely different foods. I swear she said it more eloquently, and when I remember exactly what it is that she said, I will re-post. That said, it’s my goal to cover both types here. Just know my preference.

Peanut butter love runs in my family. My brother sleepwalks to eat it if theres a jar in the house. And it is my father who first introduced me to the peanut butter popsicle (really, peanut butter on a spoon. but what difference does it make?)
